Music collaboration, week 3c.v._OLD.html

I integrated into one of my drawing courses a five-week collaboration workshop with a colleague from the music department on the theme of improvisation in order to expose my students to a multi-disciplinary art project. We avoided giving the students any normative guidelines for how to understand and manage the relationship between music and visual art, letting their own solutions emerge during the process. All participants’ individual borders of expression were challenged. This new form of interaction led to the understanding of roles in a group setting, in particular about leading and following.
