Tension and Attention

This work confronts the questions around Jews who integrate into their surrounding culture and the criticism from other Jews of this cultural assimilation. In my case, becoming a mother in a foreign place, furthered the distance from Israel. I therefore searched for a connection between the body and the surface of the painting, between the subject and the object.
